Teething Necklace.
My little Junebug has some seriously swollen gums right now. Poor guy is drooling everywhere, putting everything in his mouth and losing sleep. And, well, we all know when baby loses sleep, so does Mama! We've been working on nighttime, but during the day I'm constantly grabbing big sister Pumpkin's toys out of his mouth. Oh, and if you pick him up, be warned you'll be covered in slobber later!


So, when I saw this on Pinterest, I thought, "oh yay! cute AND functional." So, I got right to it! Rebekah already has written out a very simple tutorial on A Bit of Sunshine, so head over check that out. Here's the one she made:

Little Sapling Toys

In one of my many online mommy groups Little Sapling Toys's wooden teethers were recommended and I think they are SO stinkin' cute. I'm so excited about them I'm blogging about them before even having tried them out, haha! Our Junebug is being baptised soon and I've asked his godmother (-to-be) to give him one of their wooden teethers because I love them. The have such a huge variety, too. You've got to check them out!

Homemade cleaners

So one of my latest projects is working on a Home Management Binder. I've gotten a lot of great resources from my Susie Homemaker group on Cafemom. Part of that binder is going to be recipes for homemade cleaners. This will both save money and be more organic! Double yay =) So I compiled a bunch of the recipes from this group to create one document for me to print and put in my new Home Management Binder. I do NOT claim ownership of any of these, I simply found, copy & pasted them into a document which I formatted to my liking. I made it a PDF for easy sharing amongst my readers. Enjoy!

Life style changes

Things have been changing around our house! Last week my husband watched "Food Inc" and "Food Matters" and immediately made the decision to become a vegetarian. I already am a semi-vegetarian, have been since I was 12. I don't eat red meat, but I do eat chicken and fish. Now this was a condition placed on my becoming a vegetarian by my mother. Once I moved out I no longer ate these items. Once I married my husband, though, I began re-integrating these proteins into the recipes I made, simply so that I wouldn't have to cook multiple meals. Now, I'm excited by the prospect of natural, healthy (organic when possible) meals for my entire family!

I'm also getting into sewing a lot. I would love to one day be able to make a majority of the clothing for my children. For now, I'm keeping it simple with small patterns and crafts, but the prospects excite me!

If I didn't mention it already, I'm a momma who makes all my little one's baby food. It's something I'm pretty proud of and it's so easy and affordable. Anyways! I was doing the easy way of freezing the food in ice trays, which gave me the perfect cube size portions, and then storing them in ziploc bags. It was easy enough because we never went anywhere, lol. A little about me: I'm a 24 year old married mommy of one. I work full time as a teacher. With summer break approaching I'll be working full-time in retail. I go to school online full time, getting my Master's. I enjoy organizing, photography, cooking, reading, blogging, graphic designing, shopping, sewing/crafting and more! My parenting style is less-extreme attachment parenting, I breastfeed and make all my own baby food. We vaccinate and co-sleep.
